hmmmmm....read this on a blog this morning(.bag lady) She says her mom used to tell her that and she believes it to be true. She then lists off a bunch of things that she wishes she didn't know. Afterwards there are a bunch of comments of people listing off the things they wish they didn't know and agreeing with her. Now don't get me wrong....I LOVE this blog. she makes me smile every day but...~ I have to say that I wholeheartedly disagree with this statement. I TRULY believe that knowledge is power. I want to know all that I can. I want to know stuff that is none of my business. I want to know the stuff that hurts. I want to know the stuff that is secret. And as many of you know.....I am not afraid to ask. I DO however believe that timing is very important. Perhaps you do not need to know that everyone is planning a surprise party for you until AFTER it's happened.(or just before if you don't like surprises) Or perhaps you don't need to know what your Christmas present is UNTIL Christmas. Perhaps you don't need to know that Morgan Freeman is dating his step-grand daughter (27 ) until after he's dead.OR the fact that they have been having this 'affair' for 10 years! ewwwwwwww Perhaps you don't need to know a lot of things until it's time to know them. But I really believe everything happens for a reason and if the knowledge has come to you( no matter what time) then it is there for a reason. ~to change you, to change your opinion, to wake you up, to make you go hmmmmmmmm, to make you re-evaluate. None the less.....knowledge is power and each little piece of it forms who we are!I'm just sayin'!
