I don't want to run away, but........................

I love this small town. I really do. It has a lot to offer and one of the best things is the people! For the most part, I enjoy my days here. There are some days though, where I wonder why we are here? I long (said in the deepest of whining voices) to be near the water. My husband loves the mountains.
this scene makes me so happy!!!

And yet we remain here. I don't want to be irresponsible and just pick up and leave but........Life is short to be waiting for the perfect moment. It's like having kids. If you think about it for too long; wait for the just the right moment before you decide to have 'em....you never will. There really isn't a good time. You just need to jump in and do it! Of course this is scary for many people.(me included) The fear of the unknown keeps us from trying. It keeps us from doing our hearts desire because it's not practical. SCREW PRACTICALITY! Ya, I said it! I'm ready. I'm ready to take a leap. do something crazy. Jump start my life! I feel like that would be the "paddles" for me. You know...those paddles they use to jump start the heart?
I don't want more. I don't want a bigger house, more clothes or shoes(well maybe a few more shoes), a nicer car, etc etc. I want this. Is that too much to ask??? Well some days it IS but I'm working on it!

  1. Just had a talk with a young friend (at one of your recent parties!) who asked "What's wrong with loving the mountains and the life lived there?" My answer was something like this: "If living in the mountains, working your blessed butt off so you can afford a few fleeting moments, where you are at once in awe and at peace with the magnificence of your surroundings, and are fulfilled in your deepest being, then I think you're in the right place." Thanks, Erin for your thoughts; we all have a built in purpose that can take time to uncover.
