Do you have a tattoo?

For many years I was against tattoos. I thought they were disgusting. Really! Why would anyone want to scar their bodies for LIFE? Some people really do go overboard. Too much is just too much. Some may only have one; but you know they didn't do it for themselves. They got it to impress someone. They got it to try and prove something; either to themselves or to the world. Some even get them to hide.Notice my tattoo, not me! And of course there are the ones who were just too inebriated to use their good judgement! Yes I have been judgemental about tattoos. I still am. I know a few people out there who fall into those categories. But as of late, I have formed a new one. One that is a more informed, educated and wise. I have listened to the stories of why. I have listened to the stories of when. Some people really do have meaningful reasons for their permanent decisions; while others just don't really see the big deal. Maybe I am becoming more relaxed in my old age. Maybe I am becoming more accepting and less judgemental?(we can only hope). But for whatever reason that has pushed me the most......I have decided to get a tattoo. I know exactly what it will be but I don't know where I want it on my body. I want to be able to see it every day. Even when I'm older I want to be able to see it easily without having to contort my body or have someone hold up a mirror.Suggestions? I would love to hear your comments on tattoos. Such a hot topic. Here is the tattoo I want. The words, not the picture.

  1. ummm...maybe we could get a 2 for 1 deal for that tatoo. I would get it on the top of my foot, so I could look down and read it

  2. I love my tattoo, it has great meaning to me and represents freedom. I wanted to see mine easily also so it is on my right wrist. Doesn't show unless I turn my hand over, but I have never had a reason to hide it so far. I got it last year when I was 54 years old! Freedom!! Ha!

  4. Mine sits on the top of my foot, where I can read it whenever I am barefooted, which is 99% of the year :)

  5. love the tattoo idea. it's a subtle one with a powerful message. if you walk with god, put it on your foot. really teeny-like. it's just for you. it doesn't have to scream "look at me - i believe!!!" it will make a gorgeous little reminder for yourself...and one you should apply to your moments of feeling lost and your "the same page" blog post from august 28th. :o)

  6. I love my tattoo on the top of my right foot. It aint for sissies though - it does hurt there. I got it 5 years ago and I still love it the way I did the day I got it. I'm pretty sure I will love it until the day I die as well... Go for it!
